Whether you're a few weeks into the year or still finding your footing, the first stretch of homeschooling can feel like a lot. Here are a few tips to help it click, plus a peek at what makes our classes different.

📋 5 tips for starting (or restarting) strong

1. Start smaller than you think.
Pick 2-3 "must-do" subjects for the first week and layer in the rest once a routine sticks. Trying to run a full school day on day one is the fastest way to burn out — yours and theirs.

2. Build a loose rhythm, not a rigid schedule.
Kids (and parents) do better with a predictable order to the day — breakfast, then reading, then outside time — rather than a schedule locked to the clock.

3. Expect an adjustment period.
This is especially true if you're new to homeschooling or your kids are coming out of a classroom setting. A few bumpy weeks doesn't mean it's not working — it usually means it's working exactly as expected.

4. Let your kids see you curious too.
Ask questions out loud, look things up together, and model that not knowing is part of learning — not a problem to hide.

5. Lean on free tools before building your own.
