Homeschooling with Littles Around? Try This.

Hello Reader,

Trying to homeschool with a toddler/preschooler (or two!) underfoot? - You are not alone, and it IS possible! In fact, there are several strategies that you can utilize to achieve focused attention for your school aged kiddos, and they don't have to include hours of screen time!

One fun way to entertain your little ones is with Busy Bins- special bins with age-appropriate activities for them to do that come out only during school time. (Purple Alphabet has a lot of neat ideas on how to assemble inexpensive bins for a variety of ages!)

Utilize nap time! When littles are sleeping, that's a great time to give more focused instruction to older children. And, since homeschooling doesn't have to take all day, you can get a lot done during this time.

Enroll them in Circle Time! When you join our community, you gain exclusive access to our Circle Time activities for younger kids. Circle Time is scheduled for Thursdays at 10am PST and is an exciting, interactive 25 minute class with one of our teachers that involves singing, movement, activities, and more!

It may take some time to figure out what works best for your family, but don't get discouraged. You'll find your rhythm.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Reader, It's been a dark couple of days. Who knew that one person could impact so many people in such a profound way- and at only 31 years old. Charlie Kirk was a man of conviction who touched the world in a way no one else could- by loving people and living boldly. The stories people are sharing of how he was there to help them when they needed it, show how he truly loved people and met them where they were at. I pray we can learn to do the same. And, let us each examine our convictions and...

Hi Reader! A lot of people lose sleep over the things that their children might lose if they are homeschooled. Parents fret and fear that they won't do something right or won't give their children the "full experience" to become well-rounded individuals. But, the reality is, there are ways that public education just can't compare to homeschooling. One of the big ones is the ability to develop emotional intelligence beyond the confines of the classroom. Children in school are often not trained...

Hello Reader! Have you noticed that your environment plays a big part in your mood and your ability to focus? Most of us have a favorite "spot" to sit and reflect, or a "work area" where we feel better able to tackle our daily tasks. Children are no different. Creating an environment that inspires learning is a great way to help make the learning journey easier. This is not going to look the same for everyone. Some kids work very well sprawled out on the floor, or sitting on their bed; others...
