Happy New Year! We're So Excited to be Starting 2026 With You!

Hi Reader!

2026 is here! (That still sounds a little weird...) Many people have reflected on the past year and made goals for this new year that's just started. And, for more and more people, part of that goal includes learning how to homeschool their kids! This is exciting for us! We have worked hard over the past several years to anticipate and develop all of the resources families could need, to help make this desire a reality.

The number of Google searches for "How to Homeschool" has increased 3000%!

"This significant rise indicates a growing interest and concern among parents about the process of homeschooling, reflecting a broader trend towards personalized education and flexibility in learning."

Because the truth is, the current education system has never been optimal. It was not designed for children, it was designed during the industrial revolution to train up factory workers, not free thinkers, entrepreneurs, and world changers.

Our dream is to see every child reach their full potential and live their lives in a way that gives them fulfillment and a sense of purpose. And, we believe that happens best when children have individualized, focused training in fundamental skills as well as their personal interests and talents. We also believe that, for most kids, this happens best at home.

If your homeschool day feels overwhelming, it may be time to simplify.

Check out our new blog on teaching strong readers at home, as well as our video series on social media and You Tube. This new year means a fresh start and new possibilities.

We're excited to be a small part of your homeschool journey.

Sincerely,
The Homeschool Safari Team

Hi Reader! If your child struggles with math, the problem often isn’t the math itself. Very often, the real issue is place value. When place value is confusing, addition and subtraction become frustrating, and multiplication and division feel overwhelming. But when children truly understand place value, math begins to make sense. This week I shared a short video explaining how to help your child understand place value using simple hands-on ideas. You can watch the video and read the full...

Hi Reader! One of the most overwhelming parts of homeschooling in the beginning, is figuring out where the money will come from to make it possible. Will one parent stay home? Can we homeschool and work? How much is it going to cost anyway? The cost of homeschooling can vary widely, depending on the program one decides to use, and what extracurricular activities are chosen. Thankfully, there are more and more resources becoming available all the time to help support homeschool families. Texas...
